A Saturday like..
It was a great day today. I almost managed to sleep until late in the morning. Then to do a couple of things at home that I procrastinated to do for quite a while. And after that the wonderful afternoon! :)
Dari and I went for a short walk around downtown. After I discovered in the morning that my basketball ball had a puncture, I bought a nice one! Nice, round, orange.. Spalding! So after I bought the ball, we kind of „played“ on the streets downtown, dribbling and tossing the ball to one another with Dari. Fun! :)
Then going for some mmm… delicious sweets at the „100 grams sweets“ shop. And then off to the cinema.
Did I mention already that the weather was simply great! The Sun was shining, warm… I like it that way!
So we went to the „Arena“ where going directly to the ticket office for 2 tickets for the „Cold Mountain.“ I got to tell you that this movie is _____ (insert adjective here). Personally, I didn’t like the movie for 2 reasons. First, in the scenes where the battles are represented there is way too much flesh that is flying over the screen. Second reason comes at the end of the movie where the protagonists are in love and all, but they are represented in such an absurd way. The one thing I can say about this movie that I can identify as a positive feature of it is the fact that it does not quite end with a happy end like any other American movie. So, actually you got to go and see it for yourself. Above are just a couple of reflections.
After the movies, after dark, guess what we did to end up the day! Basketball!
Indeed, we went to the hood basketball court, where we tested the new basketball ball that I bought during the day. It was a nice shoot out until several guys came with buckets, cement and water (please note – this happened at about 22:00 on a Saturday night!) and began filling out the holes on the court! Despite that, it was nice time playing. I discovered that my girlfriend actually has a talent for playing basketball! :)
