That’s what I was doing this Saturday night – walking downtown, confused, not knowing what to do and feeling so lonely – a feeling that hasn’t been present for quite a while. Blue mood, down…
Anyway – a couple of phone calls to friends made the situation even worse – some were seing old classmates of theirs or had already made some appointments to see other people, others had to spent time with their beloved ones (it’s Saturday night at the end)… Nobody. Nobody that I can see tonight and have a drink and spent some good time.
When I called Darina, totally forgotten that it was her birthday ( Happy Birthday Darka! Wish you all the best of everything – you know that, but to mention it again! :) ), she was the one to save (kind of) my attitude this night.
I went to her party, which took place at the Alcohol – a place right in the center of the city that I had never been to. I liked it. It’s apart from the other clubs downtown, not many people know (yet I think, hope that the attendance rate keeps its current rates), the music is great (no mainstream commercial music – only music for the soul). Simply great place. To Do: to list it in my „Clubs Guide“ :) In addition to the nice features of this club, I have to mention an interesting story that happened tonight – I went in the club for free (despite the entry fee of 3 leva); the facecontrol just wanted to see my ID and let me go (even without looking or searching my backpack, which was quite stuffed with all kind of things and was big in appereance, hanging on my back). This is the very first time I get into a club in Sofia that way. Somewhat, I felt strange about it because everybody around me was paying their entry fees. Not to mention that I was definitely not in „club wear“. Perhaps, it was because of the rose that I had in my hand that was for the Darina.
Anyway – spent a couple of hours there, some booging, some laughing and then walking back home. You can’t imagine the feeling of walking through Sofia at 2.30 A.M. It’s true that you have to look over your shoulder all the time, but the tranquility of the streets and the stillness of the sky is just amazing! Very, very inspiring! Got to do it more, instead of catching a cab everytime after a club!
